The Reset options in the Khan2Canvas menu are used when resetting the spreadsheet at the quarter, semester, or when a user wants to completely reset the entire spreadsheet. You can find the reset menu by selecting Khan2Canvas > Tools > Reset. The options and how they affect the spreadsheet are explained below.
- New Quarter: All assignment selections and settings in the course sheets and assignment data from Khan Academy and Canvas will cleared. Settings in the Settings sheet, course selections, and rosters will be unaffected.
- New Semester: All course sheet will be cleared and deleted. All assignment data from Khan Academy and Canvas will be cleared. All settings in the Settings sheet will be unaffected except for the course selections which will be cleared. To select new courses, launch the setup sidebar from Extensions > Khan2Canvas > Launch Setup. Note that any term start and end dates that were specified in the Settings sheet will need to be updated.
- All: All course sheets will be deleted, all data will be cleared, and all settings will be reset. To select new courses, launch the setup sidebar from Extensions > Khan2Canvas > Setup > Launch Setup.
If your spreadsheet should freeze and you receive a message from your browser saying that the page is unresponsive during any of these operations, refresh the page. Even if you refresh the page, the reset process will continue to work in the background. Note that after refreshing, it still may take several minutes for the spreadsheet to load and/or become responsive again. When it does, wait until your spreadsheet is responsive again before continuing.
